The history of Erbe Square dates back to the first century BC when it was founded by Romans. The name of the square literally means the square of herbs because during all the centuries in the past it was used as one of the main places for trade. If before you could buy spices here, today you’ll find here some stands with vegetables and fruits, but mostly with tourist souvenirs.
